What are the ‘Impacts’ of Having an Online Business and How to Start?
This episode is an eye-opener and a delight to share. I can’t wait to talk about this because our guest today is certainly the friend of all entrepreneurs…the amazing Dave Espino.
Dave is known as the info boss. He started as an entrepreneur at the age of seven. He has sold over $140 million in how-to video courses and a star of a national infomercial for 11 years.
We’ll be diving into the goodness of online business, and the how-to’s in making an online course topic. So, if you’re into it, here’s a treat for you.
How did Dave Start in Business?
Dave’s parents wanted more out of life. So, they started selling at flea markets in Southern California together with seven-year-old Dave. That's how his business mindset got a start. Dave became the Info Boss after a live Clickfunnels event. He got so much into it and realized he wanted to teach people how to sell their info like a boss.
Now it's the name of his LLC. And they’re about to build a giant online course program for people to put their knowledge out there.
Why Infomercial Business?
It was when Dave discovered eBay that started everything. He started a business online and bought an early course called Insider Secrets to Market Your Business on the Internet, by a young man named Corey Rudl. From that, he got his eBook to make $3000 a month in passive income!
Later, an infomercial production company asked him to be their expert. It lasted 11 years. They produced nine different shows and became the longest infomercial that existed.
“The biggest compliment to me was when people said, I bought Dave's course because he seems so genuine,” Dave said.
It was a success by being genuinely excited about how this could change other people’s lives.
With your course, you can leave a legacy. Dave explained the goodness of infomercials in his book called, The Most Perfect Business. It showcases the online course business, its quality, its benefits, impact, and income.
How to Find a Good Course Topic?
If you find a super hot in-demand topic, you're good at it, and you find the right people to collaborate with, then it’s easier. These topics make sales.
The reason why Dave has created so many courses is that he belongs to a community of people who are into making money online. In there, Dave would always find things that would sound like a great product.
More recently, he’s been getting big into crypto. They have partnered with a gentleman who's an expert at something called crypto yield farming and reached $200,000 in sales.
Everyone is good at something. It's a superpower! If you want to share it with the world, do something called a superpower inventory.
Step 1. Think about your whole personality, everything you've been through not just job experiences, but life experiences. Pretend your experiences are in a grid.
Step 2. Pick the best pieces on that grid based on the question “Can you serve the best for others with this life experience?”
Most of the time, we don't give ourselves enough credit for being multi-dimensional human beings.
What we can learn from our past experiences, good or bad, can help serve other people in the world.
